Nãm Mushrooms – the new Eco-warriors
Since 2020, Nãm has been on a mission to not only cultivate mushrooms but also to revolutionize the way we perceive agriculture, waste management, and environmental stewardship.
With over 5000 curious minds stepping foot into our two urban farms, the community's interest in sustainable food sources is evident. These visitors not only learn about mushroom cultivation but also become ambassadors for a greener future.
Moreover, the trust of 150 restaurants in our mushrooms every week underscores the quality and reliability of our produce. By forging partnerships with local eateries, Nãm not only supports the local economy but also promotes sustainable dining choices. Yep, our fungi are making waves in the culinary scene, one delicious dish at a time.
But it doesn't stop there. We're all about empowering folks to become urban farmers themselves. With over 5000 kits sold, we're spreading the love for growing your own goodies.
Plus, we're giving new life to 100 tons of coffee grounds
The heart of Nãm's operations lies in the cultivation of mushrooms – 70 tons of these fungi are produced annually. Every part of the process is meticulously designed to minimize waste and maximize environmental benefits. For instance, the 80 tons of fertilizer generated are not discarded but returned to the soil, enriching it and completing the nutrient cycle.
In just one year, our operations result in the removal of 60,900 kilograms of CO2 from the atmosphere. To put it into perspective, this is equivalent to the carbon sequestration of 6090 trees or taking 1538 cars off the road. These numbers are not just statistics; they represent our commitment to combating climate change and creating a more sustainable future for generations to come.
Who knew mushrooms could be such eco-warriors, right?
Join us in our journey towards a greener, more resilient future.
